English Language Arts: Summary & Spelling patterns
We read the book La Rue for Mayor and as a class wrote a summary of it. Students will continue to work on summarizing short or known stories for the next few weeks.
Spelling: Words that end in -tion and -sion

We are learning how to write fairy tales in Spanish
Arte: La Imprenta
- learned to create a stamp by layering card stock shapes into a desire design
Ciencias: Hearing and Sound
-explored the concept of vibration through experimentation
-learned about the anatomy of a human ear

Social Studies: Working Together
- reflected on how choosing leaders, making decisions, and working together peacefully are carried out in the classroom, school and community
- worked in groups to find out what they can about school, community, family and government practices in an assigned community in India, Tunisia, Peru or Ukraine
- wrote a speech about changes they will bring to their communities if they were to be elected as leaders, presidents or mayors
