It is always exciting to start the new school year with so many smiling faces in the hallways and classrooms! We are fortunate to see many of our Eugene Coste students from last year, and are delighted to welcome some new students to our school as well. The first week of the school year always seems to fly by so quickly but we have been hard at work getting to know our classmates and teachers, learning new routines, and setting expectations. Important dates to make note of: September 15 - Our welcome back BBQ here at the school. Please join us to start the year off as a community. September 21 & 22 - Parent Teacher conferences. September 29 - Photo Day! Important Documents
Mail Day - Thursday is mail day where a green envelope with your child's name on it will come home. Please check this envelope for important documents and return the forms back in the envelope ASAP. If an envelope does not come home it means there was nothing to send that week. :) This week there will be quite a hefty package of documents. Please let us or the office know if you have any questions regarding these forms. Photo agreement - A substantial component of this blog will be made up of student photos. As these photos are mostly spontaneous and candid in nature, your son/daughter's face might appear in some of the images posted. There will be no names attached to these photos, and this blog is private - only accessible through our school website. Please revise our photo agreement here. Curriculum at a glance - Learn Alberta has created a very handy two page document that outlines the shell of the grade three curriculum. We encourage all parents to take a look at that document here to know what to expect this school year.
