What an awesome way to kick off nutrition month! A big thank-you to our parent volunteers who woke up early to make pancakes and help serve us delicious and healthy breakfast. Also a big thank you to CO-OP for donating all the pancake mix, fruit, yoghurt, and utensils needed for our special meal.

Matematicas: Midiendo el tiempo
Students are given the opportunity to work with units of time (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years) in a problem solving context. Students will move from previous work relating the number of days to a week and months to a year, to also include seconds to a minute, minutes to an hour, and days to a month.
Students will also learn about measuring and recording length, width, height, and perimeter of 2-D shapes and 3-D objects using personal referents and the standard units of centimeter and metre. Later students will be introduced to measuring and recording mass in the standard units of gram and kilogram using balance scales. Through out this unit students will estimate, measure, compare, and order objects using both non-standard and standard units.
